Welcome to the home page of Leigh Cricket, Tennis & Bowling Club !

The clubhouse section (the one you are viewing now) contains news and information relevant to the club as a whole, regardless of sporting interest, e.g. membership fees, hiring of function rooms, availability of catering, and so on.

Cricket and Tennis are run as separate sporting sections; you can create individual bookmarks to these in your browser, although the advantage of visiting this home page first is that, using the panels above, you get to see when the sporting sections were last updated.

• Cricket section sponsorship

• Availability of food

JJ's are now providing food at the club between the hours of noon and 8pm on summer weekends - click here for a menu.

• Smoking arrangements

During the club council meeting held on the evening of Monday 23rd April 2007, discussions were held about the topic of the club becoming a 'No Smoking' zone in accordance with the 'Health Bill' legislation passed by the government in 2005.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, it has been decided that the club will become a smoke-free zone with effect from 1st June 2007, thereby hopefully avoiding any problems on the 1st July when the bill becomes law.

Council has also recognised that there will still be those who enjoy a smoke with a drink and, to that end, a dedicated covered smoking zone is now being constructed outside the pavillion adjacent to the steps leading into the Pennington Suite.

The club trusts that all members will offer their assistance and understanding in this matter.
